(as yet unpublished)

If "Concerned Women for America" state Rep Elizabeth Krause and SD Family Policy Council's Robert Regier are eager to put us though the cost of a Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage, shouldn't we require their groups to fund it?

Exposed government paid "traditional marriage" proponents Maggie Gallagher and Michael McManus get rich from their marriage opinion, but they're willing to make all of us pay the exhorbitant cost of this ballot meaure to discriminate against our neighbors, who like the rest of us are barely getting by. (Who else is being paid to write on these pages?)

"Try to say a grape is a rock, but it's a grape," claims Regier of marriage, but lets call this charade what it is. The battle over marriage is not once of liberal vs. conservative of red vs blue states, it's a question of control, the have nots vs the haves.

Gays I know are not rich stereotypes (more accurately representing conservative think tanks). They're financially discriminated against blue collar with multiple jobs, inadequate health care and insurance, caregiving for their parents, To even attempt the "special" legal recognitions afforded their married neighbors puts them thousands more dollars down the financial scale.
